How long does it take to sand and refinish a floor?
3-4 days
How long does it take for the floor to dry?
Typically it takes 6-8 hours in a room with an average 68 degree temperature.
Does the sanding process create a lot of dust?
Our machines collect the majority of the dust with bags and vacuum attachments. We also plastic off the entire working area. We vacuum off everything we can reach in order to keep your cleaning to a minimum.
Do I have a choice of finishes?
Yes, you have the choice of an oil or latex based finish. You then have the choice of a gloss, semi-gloss, or satin finish.
Do we need to stay out of the house while our floors are being done?
No, you will be able to walk on your floors each night. In most cases the smells are tolerable and can be minimized with some ventilation.
Do you remove carpet, tile, linoleum, or hardwood floors?
Yes, we can remove any type of floor you may have and we will also dispose of it for you as well.
Can you supply flooring for my installation or repair?
Yes, we supply all types of hardwood, pre-finished, or laminate flooring.
Do you repair sub floor?
Yes, we can repair any type of problem from adding screws to replacing sections of the floor.
How can I prevent scratches on wood flooring?
Place mats and throw rugs at doorways to help protect wood floors from grit, dirt and sand. Place felt pads under furniture legs and vacuum/dust your wood floor regularly.
